("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use our website/application hereinafter referred to as the "Service". We offer you an option to join a panel, participate in surveys conducted by us or third parties (both as a panel member and a non-panel member), access panel-related websites and applications, and earn rewards and incentives. This privacy policy describes how we will make use of your information in the context of Xcel Global Panel website and Xcel Global Panel’s marketing, sales and advertising practices.
Your use of the Application/Services is completely voluntary and therefore our processing of your PII in connection with the Application/Services and this Privacy Policy is with your consent.
Surveys administered by third parties and the data collected in connection therewith are not subject to this Privacy Policy. Registration with, use of, and access to our Services is subject to Terms and Conditions.
What information does Xcel Global Panel collect about me?
When you register/use our website or contact us for support or other offerings, we collect information that identifies you i.e. personally identifiable information ("PII") from research participants during and after registration with a panel, including, without limitation, during participation in a survey and in connection with the receipt and redemption of rewards and incentives and/or during the Application/Services registration and download process.
This includes:

Occupation/Education
UID Number (number we assign to you when you sign up for an account)
Racial and gender information.
In addition to the collection of Personally identifiable information mentioned above, during and after the registration process, we may ask you to voluntarily provide or disclose Sensitive Data. "Sensitive Data" means PII that discloses or reveals health and medical conditions, sexual orientation or sexual life, political opinions/views, race/ethnic origin, religious and philosophical beliefs and trade-union membership. Sensitive Data is used to target survey opportunities to you and as otherwise set forth in this Privacy Policy.

The Application/Services will ask for your permission to access geo-location information from your device, which may be collected at any time, whether the Application/Services is in use or not. Additionally, your location information may be shared with third-party clients to illustrate specific location and traffic patterns among Application/Services participants. We may also share your geo-location data with third-party vendors to create surveys for market research and other research based on aggregated location patterns.
Geo-location data may also be used by ad networks to provide you with location-based advertising. If you no longer wish to share your geo-location data through your device, please change the privacy settings in your device for the Application/Services.
Log Files
The Application/Services may automatically gather and store certain information, including, without limitation, data available from your web browser.
Digital Fingerprinting
Digital fingerprinting assigns a unique identifier to your device based on the device's technical settings, characteristics, and IP Address. We use digital fingerprinting technology for quality control and validation purposes and fraud detection and/or prevention, including, without limitation, identifying duplicate or fraudulent respondents. We may utilize digital fingerprinting, either directly or through a third-party vendor, with your consent when required by applicable law.
Watermarking
Watermarking involves placing a technology or file on your device to identify that it has previously been used to register with or access the Application/Services or the Services. We may engage in watermarking activities directly or through a third-party vendor with your consent where required by applicable law.
Voluntary Information
You may voluntarily submit, upload or transmit content or material, including, without limitation, photos, videos, and/or any other similar or related content or material when completing surveys.
Information through Automated Means
Our Application/Services also automatically gather certain information, including details about your device and its capabilities. This may include, but is not limited to, the operating system, other applications on your device, IP address, network provider, device type, time zone, network status, browser type, browser identifier, unique device identification number (such as analytics or advertising identifiers), network provider user ID (a unique number assigned by your network provider), Media Access Control (MAC) address, International Mobile Equipment Identity, location, and other data that may be used to uniquely identify your device, either alone or in combination.
How do we use the information it collects about you and what are the legal bases for these uses?

To fulfil a contract or take steps linked to a contract: this is relevant where you register to use our app or website. This includes:

How long does Xcel Global Panel retain my information?
Xcel Global Panel will retain your personal data up to the period it is necessary to fulfil the service that you have requested, comply with any laws or regulations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Xcel Global Panel may retain your data up to six months from the date of completion of services for a legitimate business interest where the business benefit is not outweighed by your personal rights and freedoms.
Can children use our websites and apps?
Xcel Global Panel Services are not intended for minors under the age of 16. If you are under 16, you may use our Services only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
